Having a great accountant is only part of the battle to getting your financial house in order. We understand that you don’t only want us to look after the big things. You also look to us to recommend practical ways to cope with day-to-day transactions.
Xero is a secure, cloud-based accounting and bookkeeping program. It presents your financial information in a simple-to-use interface. Everything is set out so as to make your sales and credit control processes more efficient and to lead to better cash flow.
The standard package includes quoting, invoices and statements, all of which can be emailed and designed to show your logo and branding. The standard package also includes a bank feed facility, directly from your Internet banking provider. Not only does it automatically log transactions, it also remembers how you have previously posted things, saving you administrative time and cost.
Should you want a more involved package you can set Xero up to handle more complex tasks such as payroll or credit control.
Because it’s cloud-based, Xero works for modern business professionals ‘on the go’. You can access your records from any smart phone, tablet or computer and expenses claims can be logged by simply taking a photo of the receipt. As long as you have your phone – wherever you are – you never need to miss out on anything.
We rate Xero so highly we even use it ourselves. In plain English – it really works.

We’re here to make sure your finances are organised and structured so as to avoid problems with the tax man.
But, should the worst happen and HMRC look into your affairs our AbbeyTax scheme means we can support you through any investigation at an affordable price.
AbbeyTax runs on an annual, calendar year basis, like an insurance premium. You pay one fixed cost and then relax, knowing that your fees will be covered should you be investigated.
GoCardless is the easy way to collect Direct Debits for recurring billing and other commercial payments.
The system allows the set-up of payments and direct debits, which are authorised by email rather than costly, lengthy processes with a bank.
Keeping things simple for you, GoCardless charges 1% of the sale (capped at £2) when they collect the payments. They send you regular monthly statements so that you can account for any charges.
Best of all, for those that love GoCardless, they’ll pay you an introductory commission, if you pass on their details to your colleagues.
