PAYE tax codes for 2016-17 are now being issued by HM Revenue & Customs on their new style P9X.
It is important to check your PAYE tax code to ensure the correct amount of tax is deducted from your salary. Call HM Revenue & Customs if you think it is incorrect.
For 2016-17 the basic personal allowance is £11,000 so you can earn £212 per week before paying tax.
National Insurance is payable at £155 per week.
